About

Sydney is an associate at MDW Law, practicing in the area of personal injury law. She joined the firm in 2025 after being called to both the Nova Scotia and Alberta Bar.

Originally from Western Canada, Sydney completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta. During her final year, she attended Dalhousie University as a visiting student, where she developed a strong connection to both the East Coast and its legal community. That experience ultimately inspired her decision to build her career — and her home — in Halifax.

Sydney completed her articles at a boutique firm in Alberta where she practiced in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice law. This experience exposed her to complex liability files early in her career and helped develop her ability to critically assess the merits of each case. Through this work, she gained valuable insight into building strong, evidence-based arguments in support of her clients’ claims.

Sydney understands that personal injury law is, above all, personal. Behind every file is an individual whose life has been disrupted by injury, uncertainty, and often overwhelming stress. She takes a compassionate, client-focused approach, making sure her clients feel heard, supported, and informed at every step. Sydney is committed to guiding people through challenging times and advocating for the outcomes they deserve.

Outside of work, you can find Sydney taking in all the East Coast has to offer, whether that’s spending time by the ocean, visiting local wineries, or exploring charming coastal towns. She is also a dedicated cat mom to her two cats, Henry and Ceasar.
