About

Jessie joined MDW Law as an Associate in 2021 and practices in the area of family and divorce law.

Originally from Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Jessie attended Dalhousie University for both her Bachelor of Arts and her Juris Doctor. Jessie completed her articles at a small firm in Halifax in 2019, and shortly thereafter completed her Land Registration Act qualification to practice real estate law in Nova Scotia. Prior to joining the team at MDW Law, Jessie gained valuable experience as a general practitioner, appearing before the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia (Family Division), the Provincial Court of Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Probate Court, and the Nova Scotia Youth Criminal Justice Court.

Jessie enjoys working closely with her clients to generate creative and cost-effective solutions. She understands that involvement in the family court system can be an incredibly sensitive and difficult experience for individuals. Jessie strives to support her clients in navigating their family law matters by taking a practical, results-oriented approach to their issues. She enjoys immersing herself in the complex dynamics of each file, and working with people from all walks of life.

Outside of the office Jessie enjoys spending her free time with friends and family, adventuring with her dog, and searching out her next favourite dish at local restaurants.
